xMAROONx

This is one of the better known and also realy famous
German metalcore bands I guess...
But Im talking about Maroon when they were cool!
Before they signed Century Media, started to make shitty new school metal
and at least broke the edge (or just stopped being an edge band - I dont want to spread false rumors)!

So, if you have heard about Maroon nowadays, or have seen them on...
I dont know,  MTV or something like that - expect something different!
This is 90's Vegan Straight Edge Metalcore!

Drown In Frustration

Great, but totaly underrated (or unknown) hXc from Germany!
Musically somewhere between 90's modern hardcore and screamo - as the band says:
"more of an old school style like Ignite meets By The Grace Of God"
To my mind every record of them is good, but different.
It's one of these "developing bands" I would say...
Their first release was pretty old schoolish hardcore with metalic 90's influence,
just as the song from the Split.
The second release goes more in the melodic (but still hard riffin) screamo direction,
but also with great metalcore-like parts.
Yeah, I have some problems with a concrete description ;-)
Anyway, you should listen if you like any of the mentioned genres!

A few years later the remaining members started Man The Change -
virtually the further developing of this band.
Which were one of my favourite modern hardcore bands
until they called quits in late 2012...

As far as I know members are still active in Tidal Sleep and Trainwreck...

Drown In Frustration - The Noise Reveals What Is Real (2001)

Edit: Got The Demo!
Yeah, fucking awesome Demo Recordings with another Singer - sounds pretty much like Bane ;-)
Musically in the Style of the First 7" with this special Demo touch!

Clouded

Belgian Vegan SXE Metalcore (possibly H8000) at its best!
As far as I know, they released only the 7" and two other Songs
on the Justice For The Enslaved Compilation.

Not much to say about this band (cause I dont know anything),
but you should definately listen!

...their drummer also plays drumms in Minus45Degrees and The Setup...

And, cause its the hell of a compilation and for some inexplicable reason
very hard to find, the whole compilation:

xWIDOWMAKERx

Legendary Straight Edge Hardcore Band from Philadelphia
with members from Passion, Dark Day Dawning and The Twilight Collective.
This unfortunately short living project
(they played just one show... plus one re-union show in 2010),
was about making fun at their music genre and certain lifestyles,
but... fucking great music!
Fun Fact: Their 7" (containing the demo recordings) "Hard Lovin, Straight Thuggin",
should originally been called "Master of Puppets",
but that album name had apparently been taken by some band from the west coast ;P

Newest band, containing members of this band (among others),
is called Fires & Floods - you should check them out also, if you havent already!

Sad Origin

Tuff-Guy DMD-Hardcore (near the H8000 region)!
Their first EP is fucking awesome - pretty much Metalcore with NYHC influence
and realy the best stuff of them if you ask me,
but unfortunately I dont have the Demo, which came out two years ago (in 1996).
So, if you have these recordings, don't wait to give em to me!
The LP is not that spectacular - not bad, but nothing special...
And the singer somehow sounds very strange sometimes...
The Split, on the other hand, is great!
Its kinda different - more New School Hardcore,
and the Bass Player does some vocals, too, but I realy like it ;-)

After the Band broke up, the Members formed Die... My Demon.

And again, if you have their Demo (or know someone who could have it),
please give it to me! Am looking for this for long time!

Firestone

Very metallic H8000 Shit with hard riffs and fucking great solo's!
Unfortunately never realy reached out like other bands from the scene.
They've also released a full length - Aim For A New Tomorrow - two years later, in 2000,
but also changed their vocalist (and music style to my mind) at this time...
I personally don't think that its worth a listen - I mean, "Element" is realy awesome
and I don't want you to get a wrong impression of the band ;-)
If you want to hear it anyway, Im sure you can find it anywhere else.

Members are still active in bands like Amen Ra and Liar.

Edit: Ok, since I realised, that "Aim For A New Tomorrow"
also seems to be hard to get (and its not that bad at all ;-), I decided to upload it too...

J'N

Finaly got the J'N stuff - and, if you like Jane., you wont be disappointed!
As the Band just said: "more chaotic and more rock than Jane."
And to my mind - I'm not sure if I can say even better, but - fucking great!

Nyari

Another way too underrated metalcore band from Germany (and also one of my favorites).
Since it is realy hard to get any information about them, i can just say that they released an Ep, an Lp and the split with Jane. within 3 years - from 1997 to 2000.
And that everyone should listen to them, cause they're fucking great!
After they broke up, members went on to bands like "Sirens", "Settle The Score", "Machinemade God", "Crowley's Passion" and "Get It Done!".

(They play Vegan - Animal Rights and Straight Edge influenced 90's-Style metalcore)

Nyari - Dark Vision Of A Circling Point (Song From The Seed Of The Next Season Sampler - 1999)

Edit:
Finally got their demo tape - pretty much "different" ...probably thats why no one digitalized it before!
Less metallic, more melodic and with a second, female vocalist that is "singing".
But, judge for yourself - In any case it shows the beginning of an awesome band!

Jane.

Realy underrated metalcore band from Germany.
They started in 1998 and unfortunately splitted up just 4 years later in 2002.
During this time they released 2 Lp's, a split Lp with Nyari and a split Ep with Shaft.
Later the band members formed a project called J'N and released an Lp and a split, then changed to Jane. again and started a reunion, but no new material resulted from this (i think).
For further information check their myspace ;-)

Jane - Prophecy (Song From The Seed Of The Next Season Sampler - 1999)

Edit:
Finally managed to hunt down the "lost" Jane. recordings they did after their re-union in 2006.
J'N broke up and Jane re-united. They recorded for a new EP and even posted one or two songs
on their myspace page and then again disappeared into oblivion. After some negotiation,
I finally managed to get these recordings from their guitarist, but unfortunately none of them
remembered the song names or anything about it anymore - but hey, at least you can listen to it now,
so, first the first time in history, here is the unreleased Jane EP:
