Springwater

I'm really born to late... there were so many good metalcore bands in the
late 90's / early 00's around in germany...
This one's just from a nearby city and the label on which their MCD
(I unfortunately guess that this was the only medium) came out
(Unsubmissive Records - later Incendiary records, even were from my hometown...

However, really underrated and unknown as fuck metalcore band
with some death metal and H8000-Style influence.
Can be compared to early Caliban and other bands from that region and time,
like Jane., Nyari, April, Mar (not really the region, but also comes to my mind), ...
I'm not sure if they had a demo - at least I couldn't find any information.
If you know anything more about them, feel free to share it with me!

They also had a song on the Emotional Outburst Assisted By Technical Supply Compilation,
but nothing exclusive -  it had been taken from their former release.

Chalkline

Vegan Straight Edge Emocore from the 90's.
Their split with Figurehead and their first 7" sound much like
melodic (emotional) 90's (newschool) metalcore
- really cool, with an individual touch...
somehow reminds me of bands like Drown In Frustration and (early) Pole*
which you perhaps dont know as well - but can also found on my blogspot,
if youre interested ;-)
But they can also be compared to some more known once I guess,
like Split Lip and Falling Forward.

Their LP sounds way more melodic and emotional...
Still a really good record, but I prefer the 7"es ;-)

They've also released a Song on the Cardbord Salvation Compilation
by Shandle Records in 1997, which I dont have, yet...
If you have this record, please contact me!
I'll add it as soon as I got it.

After Chalkline, some of the Members went on to form a short-lived Project called Solo Flyer,
they only recorded one EP (New Years Night) I guess, which I but dont have, unfortunately...
So, if someone could help me out with that, too - would be awesome!
Otherwise, I'll add it when I found it!

Zippyshare Also Sucks...

I just noticed that Zippyshare somehow deletes files, if they're not used recently...
I have no clue since when some of my links are dead, but unfortunately they are :-(

If you find a link that doesn't work, please tell me!
Don't just move on - help this blogspot to stay alive!

And, if you know a better hoster then mediafire or zippyshare,
feel free to tell me, too.

For now I re-upped everything... I guess...
For the future, I'll try to check my uploads more frequently ;-)

Pain Runs Deep

Vegan Straight Edge Metal(core) Band from Poland.
Their demo Tape came out on Life Defense Communications and Shing Records.
Later, on CD, on Screams Of Salvation Records.
- in 1998!!!
I dont know if and in which bands the members played before,
but during and after the hiatus, they were in
The Break In, Deathmatch, Inherit, Iron To Gold, Insider and for sure a lot more!
Btw. there vocalist is running The Essence Records from the UK.
After Several Shows, 1999 they went into a long hiatus...

...to reunite in 2008 - Still standing strong!
And in 2010 there also appeared a new record.
More Hardcore, less Metalcore - but really awesome music!
Bands like Cro-Mags and Crown Of Thornz come to mind ;-)

Edit:
Just added the "Healing" Demo Tape to this post...
thought about doing this for a long time - and since this is virtually pre-pain runs deep,
I guess there's nothing wrong with doing so.
Healing is way more (90's) Hardcore than PRD - but still metallic oldschool hardcore,
like Earth Crisis for example. With a strong XVX, Hardline attitude!
The Tape came out on Life Defence Communications - so you probably know what to expect!
(btw. look out for the upcoming PRD LP on The Essence Records and check out
Insider - same members - oldschool hardcore style - "between warzone and vegan reich")
